SARA AHSAN
I graduated with distinction as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Pakistan in 2014 and received the role of honors for all semesters. Moreover, I was awarded Chief Minister's Merit scholarship.

After graduation, I joined Engro Fertilizers Limited as a Graduate Trainee Engineer in 2014. After completion of one year of training, I was hired as a Process Engineer at the Ammonia Unit of EnVen Plant. I worked at both Ammonia and Urea plants for six years.
Being an aspirant of a career in academia, I joined Florida Atlantic University for a Master's with a focus in Environmental Engineering. My research is focused on developing made-to-order amine grafted silicas (aminosilicas) for capturing harmful pollutants such as CO2 and VOCs etc. My most recent work is in collaboration with NASA's Kennedy Space Center, where I am comparing the performance of currently used material, i.e. Zeolite-5A with potential other adsorbents.
